I had the absolute pleasure of staying at The Bruce Hotel last weekend and it was such a wonderful experience I wanted to tell you all about it!
The boutique property has 25 beautifully appointed guest rooms (an event space) and is located in Stratford, Ontario. A city with tons to do all year round. You can find more about that here.
We pulled up to the hotel and I tried to get a photo but it was a quite blurry so I am sharing this one fromtherecord.com
The lobby was so welcoming and cozy. Right away, I noticed (and loved!) the smell. Nothing beats that wood burning fire smell on a cool winter day.
We checked in and headed to our room. I was SO impressed with the size and finishings.
If you saw my tour on Instagram, you know I was excited about a night in the princess life!
The front desk mentioned a coffee area with cookies at the end of every hallway.
Bonus points! Coffee & cookies are my favourite treat.
The hallways also had these little library areas with chairs facing the windows. The natural light is such a nice feature and a great way for guests to enjoy the grounds all year round.
We continued our tour then got ready for dinner. The pool area looked so peaceful – I will definitely be back for some pool time!
Dinner was AMAZING! The restaurant is a great spot to celebrate a special occasion or take a date. I had the organic mushroom tart to start, the heirloom pumpkin (pasta) as my entree and a latte with chocolate for dessert. The chef sent us one of his feature items – a house twist on poutine. It was made with fingerling potatoes and had a smoky seasoning and sauce. It was delicious! My favourite part of the meal and I kept thinking how great of a late night snack it would be for wedding guests.
We returned to our room for relaxation and a movie. Here are a few more details.
Our stay ended with another fantastic meal (I had eggs benedict) and a snack to go upon check out. Again, the attention to detail was truly impressive and made the getaway so memorable.
Can you tell I’m already planning my next visit?
If you have a chance to stay at the Bruce, please do and ENJOY!
