With 2017 & 2018 planning in full swing, we are seeing a lot of great trends come to life. Whether it be large, loose floral instalments or interactive food stations – weddings are going to be a ton of (beautiful) fun this season and we can’t wait to be part of creating those visions!
Here are some of our favourites to get you inspired.
Casual Receptions. We started to see this last season and I think more couples are going to take the leap and create a unique, more informal reception for their guests. Think heavy hors d’oeuvres, lounge or mixed seating and later start times to right into dancing.
Lighter Fabrics. Anyone else loving the chiffon runners? The airy feel and light texture that fabrics can bring to a table setting really helps create a romantic look.
Greenery. With this being Pantone’s color of the year, we are going to continue to see garlands and greenery filled centrepieces and bouquets.
Speaking of greenery; we love the way florists are getting creative with their instalments. A simple, fresh backdrop can dramatically change the look and feel of a ceremony altar.
Charity Donations. Making a donation in lieu of favours or giving your guests the option to donate on your behalf in place of a wedding gift is such a nice way to give back.
Shop Local. For those who are opting for a tangible gift, we think it’s awesome when couples choose something local to share with their guests.
Neutrals. I do love color once in a while but there is something so sophisticated and classic about a neutral color palette. We’re going to see a lot of charcoal, grey, blue and white this year.
Cake. Looks like we’re taking a little break from cupcakes and pies and going back to cakes (of all sizes)!
Hand lettered everything. From welcome signs to place cards, stationary suites and backdrops, calligraphy is everywhere – and we love it!
